SUMMER CAMP

“My kid had so much fun and it turns out, he’s also a huge ham onstage!”

— Parent of 2025 Camper

Frequently Asked Questions (Camp Edition!)

  • We have the unique honor of partnering with Connect Family Theatre as we bring episodes of the beloved radio program, Adventures in Odyssey, to the stage! Only a handful of organizations get this opportunity and our students and volunteers have a great time bringing the scripts to life!

  • Students are divided by grade level (1-4, 5-8, and 9-12), and each group will start the day with prayer, acting exercises, and warm-ups. A short, age-appropriate Bible study is led by the group’s dedicated volunteers, and then it’s off to rehearsal! Students are further divided by interest/role and will work with professionals to develop their skills. On the last day of camp, we have a dress rehearsal, then welcome friends, family, and community members to a free-to-the-public performance of a brand-new show!

  • Although we’ve found that many kids with stage fright end up choosing to perform in spite of their jitters (and do just fine), we also welcome any student who prefers an off-stage role, such as a part of the running crew, tech crew, or helping with costumes or props. These people are CRUCIAL to the production of any show and we are grateful to have their help! If your child would prefer NOT to perform onstage, please indicate that on the registration form.

  • We ask that each student comes with a bagged lunch and a reusable water bottle with his/her name clearly marked. As we do not have room to refridgerate 50+ lunches, please ensure that your child’s food can be kept at room temperature for a few hours. Snacks will be provided daily (please indicate on the registration form if your child has a food allergy). And on Friday, dinner will be provided for students, staff, and running crew.

  • No. Because of the sheer number of students and volunteers who will be in the building that week, Free Play and Little Flyer’s Club will NOT be open during camp.

  • No. The staff will be dedicated to supporting campers and volunteers that week.

  • Registration will be open on both the church’s website and this one as of March 27, 2026.

  • During the week, campers will be divided by role. Dance students are asked to arrive in leotards, tights, and appropriate shoes. Singing and Acting students are asked to wear comfortable clothing they can move in, along with closed-toe shoes and socks (some areas of the studio do not allow street shoes to be worn). We ask that students do not wear clothing with inappropriate images, words, or slogans.

As for the performance, we will be providing as much of the students’ wardrobes as possible. Some students may be asked to bring clothing from home, but no one will be asked to go out and buy or rent anything new!

  • Our cancellation policy is as follows: cancellations made before July 5th and those made between July 6th and July 19th are eligible for a 100% and 50% refund, respectively. Cancellations made after July 20th will NOT be eligible for a refund.

To cancel, please contact us at 412-264-9392.

  • We do for classes during the year, but unfortunately, not for Summer Camp.

  • Yes! Impact Christian Church houses ‘The Landing’, which is the name of our multi-purpose community space. Impact School of the Arts is a branch of the church, housed at ‘The Landing’ in the multi-purpose gym area. You will see the ISTOA sign in our Arts Wing. Summer campers will be using our Classrooms, Gym, Turf, Dance Studio, Green Room, and Auditorium areas.

  • Friday will be different than the rest of the week! Students will come in earlier (time TBD), run through the show, eat dinner, then present a fully-realized production for the whole community at 7 PM the final evening of camp. There is no charge for the performance!
